We are always interested in hearing from you if you have an interest in a career with a fast growing catering company. The Kabin Catering Company produces food for mass production in retail, our own shop, cafe and deli in Ballinhassig and off-site canteen services.

We are opening a new shop | Cafe | Deli, hoping to be open in April and we have many opportunities available.

We are also looking to recruit new employees for our off-site catering, these roles are mainly Monday to Friday, some evenings and weekends. These units are not accesible by bus, so your own transport is nescessary when applying for these roles.

We will also be recruiting for an evening or night shift chef, must have experience and willing to work shift. This role is 3 nights on and 4 off.

Cafe Manager

We are looking to hire an experienced café manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our new café. The café manager’s responsibilities include processing payments using the café’s Point of Sale System, making bank deposits, and ensuring that the café is clean and well-presented at all times. To be successful, you should demonstrate exemplary management and leadership skills and ensure that the café staff carries out all duties efficiently, and customer delight is achieved.

Café Manager Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising café staff
  • Preparing weekly work schedules for staff and finding suitable replacements in cases of staff absence
  • Receiving delivered café supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered
  • Taking inventory of café supplies and ordering new stock as needed
  • Resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service
  • Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers
  • Managing on-line orders

 

Café Manager Requirements:

  • Hospitality qualification is advantageous
  • Proven management experience in the hospitality industry
  • HACCP
  • Barista experience is essential
  • Strong knowledge of EPOS systems
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
  • Strong business acumen
  • Exemplary management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
