The Kabin Catering Company is a privately owned niche contract & private catering company established by Tadhg Long in 2011. We are a fresh food company delivering exceptional food and service solutions.

Our Food

The food at The Kabin Catering Company is lovingly prepared by our professional chefs, using the freshest ingredients. All the meat used in dishes is Irish, which is a requirement of memebrship of Love Irish Food. We are proud members of Love Irish Food since 2018. This ensures we support local business as much as possible.

We are members of the Coeliac Society of Ireland and listed in the Coeliac foods book published by the Coeliac Society, which improves the lives of those with Coeliac Disease.

We have streamlined our Dine-in range so it is 100% gluten-free, prepared in a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and fully tested to comply with regulations. These dishes are prepared from scratch in our kitchen in Ballinhassig, and stocked in our shop on site.

Tadhg Long

Owner | Managing Director of The Kabin Catering Company LTD

Tadhg is a fully qualified chef, graduating from IT Tralee, currently known as Munster Technical University. After gaining 20 years experience in hotels and restaurants in Melbourne Australia, Edinburgh Scotland, and around the south of Ireland, Tadhg decided to go it alone and he opened The Kabin Catering Company in Ballinhassig. The Kabin Catering Company has been in operation 10 years and is a dynamic SME (Small Medium Enterprise), serving some of the largest pharmaceutical companies, businesses and sports clubs in Cork.

David Kelly

Executive Chef of The Kabin Catering Company LTD

David Kelly is a fully qualified chef of 15 years, graduating from CIT (Munster Technical University) and commenced his career in Pfizers Golf Club. Over the years David was employed in some of Corks largest wedding hotels such as Vienna Woods, Garryvoe and Castlymartyr Hotel. David decided to diversify and moved to a large contract catering company where he gained invaluable experience of working in on-site canteens and catering units. David was employed in The Kabin Catering Company in 2017 as head chef and was swiftly promoted to Executive Chef in 2019 where he manages all aspects of the operations in The Kabin Catering Company in all our sites.

Wendy Rohu

General Manager

Wendy Rohu is a trained chef and holds masters in Business and Marketing, graduating valedictorian from CIT in 2018 (Munster Technical University). Wendy spent 20 years working on private yachts worldwide, repatriated in 2012, and commenced work in The Kabin Catering Company LTD in 2013 as chef and has been with the company since. Wendy went on to study as a mature student and once her studies were complete, promoted to the role of General Manager of The Kabin Catering Company LTD, managing functions of the business such as HR, Accounts, Health and Safety & Sales and Marketing.
